Larvale makes two kinds of products, and the return terms differ between them. Every product page states which applies before you buy.
Made-to-order pieces (corten planters and edging)
Corten pieces are cut, folded and welded individually after you order them.
- Cancellation: cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of ordering, before cutting starts. Email info@larvale.com with your order number.
- Change of mind: we accept returns of made-to-order pieces within 30 days of delivery, unused, unplanted and in the original packaging. Because the piece was made for your order, change-of-mind refunds are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and return shipping is at your cost. Unopened edging packs return in full. We recommend confirming dimensions and access before ordering — we are happy to help you check.
- Damaged or out of tolerance: if a piece arrives damaged or does not match its published specification, we replace it or refund it in full, including shipping, at your choice — no return required. Photograph the carton and the damage within 7 days of delivery and email it to us; keep the packaging until the claim is settled.
Stocked items (house numbers, address plaques, rain chains)
- Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the product price, unused and in original packaging. Return shipping is at your cost unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect, in which case we cover everything.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go to the original payment method within 10 business days of the return arriving at our facility, with email confirmation at each step.
Warranty
Corten planters, edging and corten house numbers carry a 10-year structural warranty; stocked house numbers and rain chains carry a two-year defect warranty. Full terms are on the Warranty page.
Natural patina is not a defect
Corten weathering steel is designed to rust. Pieces ship in raw mill finish and develop an orange bloom, then a stable deep-brown patina, over 6–12 weeks outdoors. Variation in patina colour and pattern during weathering, and run-off staining on surrounding surfaces in the first weeks, are the nature of the material and are not grounds for a defect claim; our Patina Guide shows what to expect at each stage.
