The width of the steel tells the story.Most corten sold online is 18-gauge sheet, under 1/20 of an inch thick. Larvale pieces are cut from 12 and 14-gauge ASTM A588 — over twice as thick, the grade used for bridges — with continuous welds and a hemmed rim on every piece.
